Cleft graft – Asian Pear

Graft of Asian pear scion approximately 6 weeks old. Please note the green tape which binds the scion to the root material. This is a cleft graft. Parafilm covers the entire scion to reduce moisture loss due to evaporation . Leaves and flowers push through the parafilm as they grow.
